Oh jeez this almost made me cry. I too am so grateful for our Takoma Mamas group. Sometimes new moms/pregnant ladies ask me for advice and I always tell them to join a moms' group because it was the No. 1 best thing I did when Sienna was a newborn. I say, "Oh yeah, ours just met at the library every Wednesday," like it's the easiest thing in the world. But I'm finding that you and I stumbled into one of the most incredible groups and they don't exist everywhere for everyone. We're so lucky.
An academic by day, a homekeeper at heart, Martha Beeton lives in a fabulous half-a-double in NW Washington, DC with her husband, her 10-year-old son, Boy Beeton, and two beautiful beasts, Halle and Pippin.
