I couldn't finish that book for the life of me! I was totally swept away in the carny world of the Night Circus for the first 100 or so pages but the momentum just died for me and I couldn't finish. Was it worth it?
Not the kind of book that I usually read (my bookclub picked it), but I actually thought it was pretty good. Not sure if I would have stuck with it, though, without the impending bookclub meeting to be honest...
An academic by day, a homekeeper at heart, Martha Beeton lives in a fabulous half-a-double in NW Washington, DC with her husband, her 10-year-old son, Boy Beeton, and two beautiful beasts, Halle and Pippin.

No matter when you return, doesn't it feel like you go back JUST when you started finding your groove and they just became way more fun!? Hugs!
